Here’s me traveling, moving, working, living, doing my thing.
I’m a mom of two teens and a photographer. In 2010 I left my job in the corporate world to follow my heart. I fell madly in love with a beautiful Scotsman who works in Brazil, and now I spend half of each year living there with him, and the other half in Houston with my kids with as much travel thrown in as we can manage.
I’m lucky enough to now have the time to follow a dream that I never thought could actually happen, to become a professional photographer.
I’m an eclectic blogger, sometimes writing about living as an expat, sometimes about life as a divorced mom, quite often about how happy my partner makes me, and nearly always include some photos. Come follow along, and introduce yourself in the comments if you have a chance. I love to know who’s lurking about here!

Stumbled upon your blog. Beautiful pictures. Sounds like a memorable adventure!
What a beautiful story! Just mentioned your blog/list of expats in Brazil, on my blogpost! Thank you for working on the list – kind regards, Raquel @ 3rdculturechildren.

Thanks, I really appreciate it!
I haven’t told you, yet, but i adore your wedding picture! It’s absolutely beautiful!!
Thank you! It was a beautiful day.
Peg,
Love your blog! Makes me feel less alone and really see that there are others out there who have jumped the corporate ship (not so easy at my age!) to follow their hearts. My adventure is totally different, but so much I relate to in your posts. I had my first gringo visitors last week and one of the first things I said as I toured them around Rio, like a Carioca I might add, was: “pay no attention to those smells, they’ll come and go…all day…every day!!” Keep up the great blog!

Thanks, Kevin. That’s nice to hear.
Oh, the smells! It is wonderful and awful at the same time, lol. All part of the experience, and I’ve been lucky to have such a big life.
I found your blog via the blogexpat interview — shame to have found it just as you’re leaving Brazil but look forward to reading about wherever you head next!
Glad you found it too, Edna. Are you in Brazil?
No, I live in Paris (and prior to that I was an expat in Singapore and Shanghai). South America’s definitely on my list though.
South America is a whole new world. I love it here, but I’m also looking forward to some of the conveniences of a first world country. I’m also really happy to be so close to Paris. Maybe soon I’ll finally get there. Enjoy!
